- Nice weeks for Brian and Dave, who made significant advances in both the Real Rankings and Actual Standings.
- After a couple of nice weeks, Shomphe's team comes back to Earth thanks to poor relative pitching.
- Seemed early in the week than Mike might not win SBs, but the ridiculous Dee Gordon changed that. Thats 7 out of 8 weeks.
- If you're looking for teams that can be potential trade partners, look at your hitting and pitching ranks and see who might be on the other end of the spectrum. For example, our two Chrises seem like they should have a chat with Shannon last in hitting and 5th in pitching and Shomphe last in pitching and 5th in hitting.
- Pierce had his best week since Week 1, but it still doesn't help his overall ranking as he's only .08 from the bottom spot.
- Jason (6.9) and I (6.7) were very evenly matched this week and went into Sunday with most categories up in the air. The score swung 5-4-1 in my favor after Charlie Blackmon flied out to end his game, bringing Jason's OBP one point below mine. However, Miguel Montero, who didn't start the second game of the doubleheader, came in to pinch hit and struck out, pushing my score down two points and giving Jason the narrowest of victories 5-4-1 in what could be an important tiebreaker. We play again in the last week.
- Arenado, Fielder, Profar to the list of long-term injuries, with Hanley, Cliff Lee and Beltran all with uncertain time frames. Should have guys like Latos and Hamilton rejoining the ranks soon. After this year, we may want to re-think the number of DL slots we provide again.
- We're 38% through the season. Sometimes it takes a while to get a firm grasp of your roster. Below are the Real Rankings over the last 4 weeks. Dave and Shomphe are looking better as of late, while Dan and Shannon are falling behind and playoff mainstays Russ and Dagan remain out of playoff spots.
