Week 20 Real Rankings

NOTES
- Congratulations to Dagan and Chris Shomphe for making the playoffs. Its not easy, so quite an accomplishment for your first year, son. Dagan, well, Dagan is always here. Even when Dagan gives up he makes the playoffs. Fucking Dagan.

- There are two spots left and seven teams with legit shots at it. It will be hugely disappointing for Brian and Dave if they do not get those spots given that they could've have sold off for a significant bounty. Both are going against sellers vying for the same two spots in Kyle and Dan, respectively.  The Real Rankings say Chris Shannon and Dave are the most deserving, but Shannon fell hard this week (12.6 is the lowest Real Ranking of the season) after some high quality liquidation. Just getting in can be all you need to go on a run.

- Mathematically, Gibby is still within shouting distance of the regular season championship and 25% of the pot but, at 8.5 games out, my team will have to fall on its face pretty hard and he'll need to be near perfect again Pierce. Though, I am facing Jason's remodeled Nut, so you never know.

- First place gets a little under $300 and second gets $100. Top second half gets $40 as well. I have to calculate that, but since I only lost more than three games in one week since Week 10, I think I have that tied up.


- Its pretty clear the Real Rankings won't mirror the actual standings as closely as they did last year. It will be pretty close in most cases, but right now it appears Chris Shannon and Kyle are getting screwed while Dan may luck himself into a playoff spot. That said, the Real Rankings were very close on the top 6 and the gap between average RR for the 6 and 7 spot reflects a pretty clear divide in the quality of the rosters -- as does the one-point gap between 13th and Lars.

- As the playoffs near, we all know that its all about who is hot at the right time. Here is the average real ranking over the past four weeks. Dagan is on top, though his performance has fluctuated heavily, ranging from 2.7 to 7.4.

- Remember, the transaction limit is 60. Looks like only Myself, Andrew, and Dan are threatening to approach it though. A maximum or two pick-ups per week are allowed during the playoffs unless a rostered played goes on the DL during that week, in which case an additional pick-up is awarded.
